Darwish Chahbar

Darwish is a skilled and dedicated trial lawyer at Shillington McCall LLP, with extensive experience in civil litigation, focusing on motor vehicle accident defence, occupiers’ liability, and commercial general liability matters. With a robust background in both private practice and corporate settings, Darwish has honed his skills in navigating intricate legal frameworks to deliver results-driven solutions for his clients.


Darwish earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario, following a Master of Arts in Political Science with a focus on International Relations from the University of Windsor. He was called to the bar in 2016 and is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

 

Throughout his career, Darwish has managed extensive caseloads, including personal injury defense, subrogation, commercial litigation, and WSIB claims. He has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, various administrative tribunals, and has conducted numerous settlement and dispositive proceedings.

 

Beyond his legal practice, Darwish is actively involved in the community. He has participated in charitable initiatives with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Crime Stoppers. Additionally, he mentors emerging professionals and engages in coaching youth sports, reflecting his commitment to fostering growth both within and outside the legal profession.
